In all the cracku mocks I have taken till now , I have an average of 42 . How much can I expect to get in actual CAT . And is 42 a decent score?

well score doesnt tell a lot about how u perform...its actually depend on the percentile u are gettin..if say u get 90 percentile in most of the mock...u can expect around 93 nd even more...depending on how much you score on the D day.
