The most important topic in Verbal section is Reading Comprehension. If you are good at Reading Comprehension, you can score well in other areas like Para Jumbles, Para Completion, etc. The advantage with Reading Comprehension is that one can become good at it through practise. The important thing is to read as much as possible from as many different sources as you can get. Make a small summary of the article that you have read and see if you have been able to cover all the important points. This helps you improve your comprehension skills. Also, solve as many questions as possible and analyze each question, even if you have got it right. These are a few ways by which you can score better in the Verbal section.
