IIM Raipur PGP Admission Process

The selection process for MBA candidates at IIM Raipur for the 2023-25 batch consists of two stages:

Stage 1: Shortlisting Of Candidates For Personal Interview(PI)

Candidates are selected for the personal interview (PI) based on their percentile scores in the CAT exam. The minimum required percentile scores for each section and the overall percentile score for shortlisting candidates are mentioned in the below table.

Category Quantitative Aptitude (QA) Data interpretation and Logical Reasoning (DILR) Verbal and Reading Comprehension (VRC) Overall
General 70 70 70 92
EWS 40 40 40 70
NC-OBC 45 45 45 74
SC 35 35 35 54
ST 25 32 32.5 40
DAP 25 32 32.5 40

The Admission Committee at IIM Raipur will determine the requirements for the PGP program and the final number of candidates who will be invited for the personal interview (PI) based on specific criteria for each category. However, if the actual number of shortlisted candidates is found to be less or more than the required number of candidates for the PI, the minimum scores for both the overall and section-wise performance will be adjusted accordingly. This will be done to ensure the desired number of candidates is achieved.

Stage 2: Final Selection

After the completion of the personal interview, the candidates who have been shortlisted will go through another round of selection. This round will be based on their final composite score, which considers factors such as their CAT score, academic background, work experience, and diversity. The weightages assigned to each component are provided below.
