CAT 2021 Slot-2 Analysis:
The second slot of CAT 2021 took place between 12:30 pm and 2:30 pm. When compared with CAT 2020, total of 10 questions were reduced in CAT 2021; 2 VA, 4 DILR and 4 QA. According to inputs of students, the overall difficulty of the second slot was similar to 1st slot. The conduct of the test in three slots nearly smooth and without gliches.

Similar to the earlier slot, the test started with VARC followed by DILR which is followed by QA. One can’t skip the section and should complete 40 min in each section to proceed to next section.

Verbal Ability and Reading Comprehension Analysis:
The VARC section in all three slots is similar to the majority of the RC’s asking Inference type of questions. The overall difficulty of Slot 2 VARC is Moderate. There are 4 passages with 4 questions each. Verbal is easier compared with RC, it has 3 Parajumbles, 3 Parasummary and 2 Odd one out questions. A decent attempt would be 17-19 questions.

Data Interpretation and Logical Reasoning Analysis:
The difficulty level of Slot 2 DILR is slightly less than Slot 1. Like Slot 1
there were a total of 20 questions in 4 sets with 6 questions each in 2 sets and 4 questions each in 2 sets. Overall Slot 2 DILR section was Moderate-Difficult. A decent attempt would be 10-12 questions.
The overall difficulty of this section is more that of CAT 2019 and similar to 2018.

Quantitative Aptitude Analysis:
The difficulty level of Slot 2 QA was slightly more than Slot 1. Like Slot 1
there were a total of 22 questions with majority questions from Arithmetic.Overall Slot 2 QA section was Moderate. A decent attempt would 13-15 questions.
