Question 88

What is the slope of the line parallel to the line passing through the points (6,3) and (2,1)?

Solution

Slope of line passing through points (2,1) and (6,3)

= $$\frac{3 - 1}{6 - 2} = \frac{2}{4} = \frac{1}{2}$$

Slope of two parallel lines is always equal.

=> Slope of the line parallel to the line having slope 1/2 = $$\frac{1}{2}$$

=> Ans - (A)
