How many different triangles are there for which the lengths of the sides are 3, 8, and n, where n is an integer and
3 < n < 8

Solution

The integers between 3 and 8 which can be sides of triangle are 4,5,6,7.
Now, the sum of two sides of triangle cannot be greater than the third.
Hence, only 4,5 can be the sides of the triangle.
Therefore, the correct option is option A.
