Ritika bought each set of 10 shirts at Rs. 8000 and sold at Rs. 9000 for each set of 12 shirts. Find out the profit or loss percentage.
Ritika bought each set of 10 shirts at Rs. 8000.
Cost price of each shirt = $$\frac{8000}{10}$$ = Rs. 800
sold at Rs. 9000 for each set of 12 shirts.
Selling price of each shirt = $$\frac{9000}{12}$$ = Rs. 750
Here selling price is less than cost price. So loss percentage = $$\frac{\left(800-750\right)}{800}\times100$$
= $$\frac{50}{800}\times100$$
= $$\frac{50}{8}$$
= 6.25% loss
