Present age of a A is 2 times that of B. After 5 years the B’s age will be 4 times of C’s present age. If C celebrated his seventh birthday 4 years ago, then what will be the present age (in years) of A?

Solution

C celebrated his seventh birthday 4 years ago, => C's present age = $$7+4=11$$ years

Also, B's age after 5 years = $$4\times11=44$$ years

=> B's present age = $$44-5=39$$ years

$$\therefore$$ A's present age = $$2\times39=78$$ years

=> Ans - (C)
