How many triangles are there in the following figure?

Solution

The bigger triangle inside the rectangle have 4 smaller pieces of triangle, 1 large triangle,

3 medium small size triangle and 2 medium size triangle.

And in the corners of the rectangle , 4 smaller size of triangle and 2 medium size triangle is there.

So, a total of $$\left(\left(4+3+2+1\right)+4+2\right)=16$$ pieces of triangle present in the diagram.

B is correct.
