The salary of an executive in the company is Rs 30,000, then what was the increase in the expense (in Rs lakhs) due to salaries that had to be paid when posts were ﬁlled for the vacancies in the year 2017?

Solution

Number of vacancies in 2017 = 40

Salary of an executive in the company = Rs 30,000

=> Total expense (in Rs lakhs) = $$40\times0.3=12$$
