A rail road curve is to be laid out on a circle. What radius should be used if the track is to change direction by 25$$^{\circ}$$ in a distance of 40 metres?
With 25 degree angle length of arc will be ($$r \times$$ ($$\theta$$ in radian) = 40m (where $$r$$ is radius of arc and $$\theta$$ will be angle made by it)
Now solving above equation, we will get $$r$$ = 91.64 m.
