‘Given A is 50% larger than C and B is 25% larger than C, then A is what percent larger than B?
Solution
Let C be 100
So, It is given that B is 25% more than C so , B = 1.25 C = 1.25 x 100 = 125
It is given that A is 50% more than C, so, A = 1.5 C = 1.5 x 100 = 150
Now A is greater than B by = $$\frac{150-125}{125} \times 100$$ = 20%
