In how many years was the revenue of the company more than 1.2 times the average expenditure over the given five years?
Solution
Average expenditure over the given five years = $$\frac{(150+210+350+275+325)}{5}=\frac{1310}{5}=262$$
Thus, 1.2 times average expenditure = $$1.2\times262=314.4$$
$$\therefore$$ Only in 2 years, 2016 and 2018, the revenue of the company was more than 1.2 times the average expenditure over the given five years.
