ab=99. As 0.xyxyxy is a recurring or non terminating number and as numerator(xy)< denominator (ab) so in order to reflect the numerator in the answer again and again upto infinity the denominator must be the same number of 9 as the number of digit (in this case' xy' number of digit is 2) in numerator.
