What is the maximum possible value of |x-y| + |y-z| + |z-x|, if x,y & z are all natural numbers less than 50?

If they can be repetitive, then we can maximise the difference between x & y by assuming x to be 1 and y be 49, then z can also be 1 so that y-z is also maximum, then x-z will be 0 giving a total answer of 48+48+0=96.<br>If they are distinct, the same logic is applicable except z cannot be 1 again, so z will be 2.<br>This will give the answer as 48+47+1=96.<br>So the answer is 96 in either case<br>
