What is the difference between linear sequencing and linear arrangements.For eg-If we have to arrange 5 people having different jobs and wearing shirts of different colour,that is a question of linear arrangement,right?But,in case of linear sequencing what do we deal with?Like the Time factor,like who enters the room first ,who leaves last,which train comes in first,which leaves?So,my question is what's the main difference between arrangements and sequencing?Are they too different topics or are they synonymous to each other.Also,is ranking and sequencing one and the same thing?

Hi Upkar,You have correctly mentioned the difference between linear arrangement and linear sequencing. Sequencing and ranking are not same. Sequening requires you arrange the processes where start time and end time are involved. Ranking is simply putting the things in order. Hope that helps.
