Sir, Madam, my academic qualIfications are as: 10th: 9.8 CGPA, 12th: 87.8 %, Graduation: BTech(ECE) 7.74 CGPA Working as a Sr. Software Engineer and having a work experience of 5 years 10 months. Want to pursue MBA now, have enrolled in CAT excellence batch. I have qualms regarding if doing "Regular 2 year MBA" would work for me or neccesarily I need to go for executive MBA with this much of work experience(5.10 years).

Hi,
You profile looks good..While your BTech CGPA (7.74) is a bit on the lower side, your work experience is okay.
A regular 2-year MBA could still be a good fit if you're looking for a comprehensive business education and can manage the time commitment. However, if you prefer a program tailored for professionals with substantial experience and want to continue working, an executive MBA might be more suitable. Both options are viable, so choose based on your career goals and preferred learning style.

Exec is better as far as your profile is concerned and it will even benefit you more ..i.e. even low score can fetch good colleges but aim for ISB if staying in India or if its abroad then your wish
All the best
