let x , y be speed of 1 and 2 in downstream. y=x+8 and y=1.5*x ==> x=16 and y=24
if v1 and v2 are the speeds in still water then v1+x=16 and v2+x=24
given v2-x=2*(v1-x)
solving these 3 eq we get 20
