Hi Dhruv,
There will be 3 rounds, WAT, psychometric tests and 2 group interviews. First group interview is to assess your character, personality, about your acads, work-ex and hobbies(personal interview)
Second is more like a GD, a HR kind of interview.
Strategies-
1st) We had a lot of sensational issues in the nation since past 1 year.
Do a thorough research about each of them. You need to have an opinion backed by a strong rationale.
You need to anticipate what reasons your peers are likely to give in GD and also how the interviewer is likely to cross you.
If you are well prepared for GD topics, you should always be the one to start the discussion. There is always brownie points for that. This way you will be more confident and guide the discussion. Be proactive but not over-confident.
2nd)Interviews are all about knowing yourself in and out.
Prepare the best possible speech for the commonly asked questions
"Why MBA", "Why finance/marketing", "Tell me about yourself"
When you talk about them , let it be natural and not look rehearsed.
List out all possible crosses for each of these questions and chalk out ideal responses to each of them.
Be original and honest, interviewers love that the most.
Be direct and do not beat around the bush.
3rd)Hobbies-Pick a hobby small or big that you really love. Many times students try to falsely invent a hobby. Interviewers see through it easily.
Be original about what you are inclined to.
4th)You need to prove the credibility of work. This is super important. This is a factor which differentiates you from the rest. You gotto convince them that your work contributed to organisation's success.
5)"The devil is in the details". Lets say you are a trekker and you completed a big trek. Then, you got to know the region of that trek well, what river flows in that region, what is the condition of people there, what is their language/ethnicity. This is to show that you are a natually curious and a caring person. Such level of detail in what is important
6)Be humble and generous. Be humble with your thoughts and expression. There is always a sub-conscious bias towards it.
7)You get limited time in your interviews, you need to sound crisp and confident with your replies.
