For inequalities, the best way to solve is to check for options. For eg If the option is -5<x<5, you know that 0 is a part of this set. You can put zero in the given expression and find out if that expression is satisfying the inequality or not. You can eliminate the options in this way and finally arrive at the final solution. Don't rely only on shortcuts but also clear the basics. Practise the inequalities questions based on logarithms as it tends to be confusing. For more guidance, refer to this link:
