Hi Tigmanshu Tiwari,
Previous: P - 500-3x, Q - 3x
Current: P - 500-4x, Q - 4x
It is given,
2(500-3x-3x) = 4x-500+4x
x = 75
Number of seats of the Q in new government = 4*75 = 300
Hope this helps!

Answer:300
Explanation: Qn-Pn = 2( Po-Qo)
as it states Q enjoys twice majority
than that of party p in previous govt.
in other words the difference of seats with which Qnew/Qn won against Pn is twice the difference of seats when P(old)/Po won against Qo.
ratio b/w Qn:Qo is 4x : 3x (Qn is 33.33% more than Qo )
Pn = 500 - Qn & Po = 500- Qo
Pn = 500-4x & Po = 500-3x
now solving that equation
4x -( 500 -4x) = 2 [(500-3x) -3x]
x = 75 therefore Qn= 4x = 75*4 = 300 seats.
