Assuming that the oranges are identical, remove 12 oranges (3*4) as each of the four people should get atleast 3 oranges each. So, we have to distribute 4 oranges amongst 4 people.

I assume the oranges are identical. We have to give 3 to each of them that consumes 12 of them. The remaining 4 can be distributed using the formula of distributing n identical objects into r different group where each group cab have 0 or more(n+r-1Cr-1). The answer will be 35(n = 4 and r = 4).
