Hello! A lot of different answers for expected marks vs percentile for XAT 2021. Some say a score of 25 can yield a 95 percentile, but looking at Cracku's toppers list, a score of 25 has a rank of around 4300 odd(which is around 88 ish percentile). Does anybody have some clarity on this?Thanks.

Till XAT-2020, 25 marks would've gotten you an above 90%ile.

But, people just scored higher this year. Hence, the disparity.

Your calculations are correct. 25 marks in XAT 2021 would fetch a %ile of around 86-87.

all are very smart people here having all the access to database of xlri ....first of all the very smart person said from cracku his rank is 4200 at 25 and if we consider total ppl 75k or 80k according to trends and internet the %ile comes at 94 -95
Math: 1-(4200/80000) or 1-(4200/75000)....second thing 4200 is not the real rank first consider the sectional cutoffs too bcz every high scorer hasnt cleared sectional so if u have cleared sectional at 25 then ur %ile can be better given the ranking remains the same when extended to 80k ppl

Xat 2019 was taken by approx 75k test takers.The number this year will be close too.

shiksha.com website says that total no. of test takers for XAT 2021 were 95K

yaar test takers should be at least 60 k but any way it is irrelevant as only serious people give xat.....

Hey @Anirudh- the Cracku score calculator already takes into account the -0.1 marks for unattempted questions. Also- is percentile calculated based on sectional cutoffs? Im not so sure, because different colleges have different cutoffs.

First of all,Raw score is not your actual score in XAT. The top 4500 people you are saying needs to clear all the 3 sectional cutoffs..so top 4500 in the sense they are not top percentilers..XLRI will normalize all our scored and put a normalized percentage and percentile out of all candidates..Last year unattempted negative marking increased from 0.05 to 0.10 please take that factor also into account

Hi abinash. From what info i've got from the net, there are around 40K-50K test takers for XAT.

can you tell me how did you arrive at 88 percentile for 4300? What is the total number of test takers?
