But the ratio was mistaken as 1/3:1/4:1/5:1/8
i.e., A:B:C:D = 1/3:1/4:1/5:1/8
Convert these fraction ratio into simple ratio then, (L.C.M of 3,4,5,8 is 120)
A:B:C:D = 40:30:24:15
Let the mistaken ratio be 40y, 30y, 24y, 15y(A=40y, B=30y, C=24y, D=15y)
Now, 40y+30y+24y+15y = 4360
109y = 4360
y = 40
From y = 40, we get,
A = 1600 ; B = 1200 ; C = 960 ; D = 600
From both the ratios we get,
1. A received 946 more
2. B received 328 more
3. C received 130 less
4. D received 1144 less
