Hi Kavya Agnihotri, There are first 15 innings and last 15 innings. Let the number of remaining innings be 'T' 15, T, 15 Average score for the first 15 innings is 17 Average score for the last 15 innings is 25 Let the average score of T innings be 'X' It is given, XT+15(25)/15+T = A + 2 ....... (1) 15(17)+XT/15+T = A - 2 ....... (2) Equating A in both the equations, we get 15(17) + XT + 30 + 2T = XT + 15(25) - 30 - 2T 4T = 60 T = 15 Total number of innings = 15+15+15 = 45 Hope this helps!
