A gift box consists of 10 rings. The average weight of the first 4 rings is 27 grams and the average weight of the remaining 6 rings is 28 grams. Find the average weight of the total rings.(in grams)

Solution

Average weight of first 4 rings = 27 grams

=> Weight of first 4 rings = $$27\times4=108$$ grams

Similarly, weight of remaining 6 rings = $$28\times6=168$$ grams

$$\therefore$$ Average weight of the total rings = $$\frac{108+168}{10}=27.6$$ grams

=> Ans - (A)
