A can complete a work in 20 days and B can complete the same work in 25 days. If both of them work together, then in 3 days what percent of the total work will be completed?
Let total work to be done = 100 units
A can complete the work in 20 days
=> A's efficiency = $$\frac{100}{20}=5$$ units/day
Similarly, B's efficiency = $$\frac{100}{25}=4$$ units/day
Thus, (A+B)'s 1 day's work = $$5+4=9$$ units/day
=> Work done by them together in 3 days = $$3\times9=27$$ units
$$\therefore$$ % of work completed = $$\frac{27}{100}\times100=27\%$$
