Let the number be '$$a$$'

When $$a$$ is divided by 3, the remainder is 2 and let the quotient be $$k$$

$$=$$> $$a$$ = 3$$k$$ + 2

$$=$$> $$a$$ + 5 = 3$$k$$ + 2 + 5

$$=$$> $$a$$ + 5 = 3$$k$$ + 7

$$=$$> $$a$$ + 5 = 3$$k$$ + 6 + 1

$$=$$> $$a$$ + 5 = 3($$k$$+2) + 1

$$\therefore\ $$When $$a$$ + 5 is divided by 3 then the remainder is 1

Hence, the correct answer is Option B
