Solution

Three numbers are in the ratio of 1 : 2 : 3.

Let's assume the numbers are y, 2y and 3y.

The product of the three numbers is 1296.

$$y\times2y\times3y = 1296$$

$$6y^3=1296$$

$$y^3=216$$

y = 6

Sum of the three numbers = y+2y+3y

= 6y

= $$6\times6$$

= 36
