Study the following table carefully to answer the given questions.
Out of the total number of students who have enrolled for C++, 60% were able to pass the exam. If the respective ratio between the number of students from colleges P, Q, R and S who were able to pass the exam for C++ was 3 : 4 : 2 : 3, what is the number of students who were able to pass the exam for C++ from college Q?
Total number of students enrolled for C++ = 2000
Students who are able to pass the exam = $$\frac{60}{100} \times 2000 = 1200$$
Ratio between the number of students from colleges P, Q, R and S who were able to pass the exam for C++ = 3 : 4 : 2 : 3
$$\therefore$$ Number of students who were able to pass the exam for C++ from college Q
= $$\frac{4}{3 + 4 + 2 + 3} \times 1200 = \frac{1200}{3} = 400$$
