Question 71

What is the respective ratio between the total number of students who have enrolled for course on Java and SQL together from college P and the total number of students who have enrolled for the same courses together from college S?

Solution

Total number of students who have enrolled for course on Java and SQL together from college P

= $$(\frac{27}{100} \times 2400) + (\frac{24}{100} \times 1800)$$

= $$648 + 432 = 1080$$

Total number of students who have enrolled for the same courses together from college S

= $$(\frac{18}{100} \times 2400) + (\frac{16}{100} \times 1800)$$

= $$432 + 288 = 720$$

$$\therefore$$ Required ratio = $$1080 : 720 = 3 : 2$$
