The given graph shows the performance of the students of schools A, B, C, D, E and F in a Board Examination. Study the graph and answer the questions that follow.

In which of the following pairs of schools is the percentage of students who passed without distinction to those who appeared the same?
After reading the chart, we can get the data:
School  Total  Passed Distinction Without distinction  Â
AÂ Â Â Â Â Â 800Â Â Â Â 640Â Â Â Â Â 300Â Â Â Â Â Â Â 340
BÂ Â Â Â Â Â 1050Â Â Â 840Â Â Â Â Â 350Â Â Â Â Â Â Â 490
CÂ Â Â Â Â Â 1200Â Â Â 920Â Â Â Â Â 450Â Â Â Â Â Â Â 470
DÂ Â Â Â Â Â 750Â Â Â 600Â Â Â Â Â 260Â Â Â Â Â Â Â 340
EÂ Â Â Â Â Â 900Â Â Â 750Â Â Â Â Â 330Â Â Â Â Â Â Â 420
FÂ Â Â Â Â Â 1500Â Â Â 1000Â Â Â Â Â 450Â Â Â Â Â Â Â 550
Finding the percentage of students who passed without distinction to the total number of students who appeared we get:
A =Â $$\frac{340}{800}\times\ 100=42.5\%$$
B =Â $$\frac{490}{1050}\times\ 100=46.67\%$$
C =Â $$\frac{470}{1200}\times\ 100=39.1667\%$$
D =Â $$\frac{340}{750}\times\ 100=45.33\%$$
E =Â $$\frac{420}{900}\times\ 100=46.667\%$$
F =Â $$\frac{550}{1500}\times\ 100=36.67\%$$
We can see that B and E have the same percentage which aligns with option B.Â
Therefore, Option B will be the correct answer.Â
