A, B and C together can complete a work in 10 days. A and B together can do the same work in 12 days. If A, B and C received ₹9,000 for doing the work together, then what was the share of C from the above amount?
Let's assume the total work is 60 units.
A, B and C together can complete a work in 10 days.
The efficiency of A, B and C together = $$\frac{60}{10}$$ = 6 units/day Eq.(i)
A and B together can do the same work in 12 days.
The efficiency of A and B together = $$\frac{60}{12}$$ = 5 units/day Eq.(ii)
The efficiency of C = Eq.(i) - Eq.(ii)
= 6 - 5
= 1 unit/day
If A, B and C received ₹9,000 for doing the work together.
Share of C from the above amount = $$9000\times\frac{1}{6}$$ [Amount will be shared among them as per their efficiencies.]
= 1500
