First, let us note down the table and find out the sum of the costs across the rows and columns:
The total cost of materials and labour for the four years = 375 + 262.5 + 64.5 + 96 + 97.7 = 897.5By the third year, the cost = 897.5 - 112.5 - 90 - 24 - 31.5 - 27 = 612.5
