Taking shops S1, S2 and S5 together, approximately what percentage of all vegetables sold, from these three shops taken together, are tomatoes?
Solution
Taking shops S1, S2 and S5 together of all vegetables sold = 5000+6000+5600 = 16600
Taking shops S1, S2 and S5 together of all tomatoes sold = 1200+1000+1800 = 4000
Approximately percentage = $$\frac{4000}{16600}\times100$$
= $$\frac{4000}{166}$$
= 24.10%
