Ramu got a newtable for 25% discount. Had he got no discount, Ramu would have had to pay ₹185 more. How much did Ramu pay for the table?
Solution
Let the cost price be x
He got 25% discount and so he paid 0.75x but given if no discount then he would have paid 185 more
and so x/4 =185
x=740
So Ramu paid 740-185
=Rs 555
