A number is increased by 30%, then decreased by 25%, and then further increased by 25%. What is the net increase/decrease percent in the number(correct to the nearest integer)?
Solution
Let the number be 100.
After it get increased by 30%, it becomes 130.
After it get decreased by 25% , it becomes 130-32.5 = 97.5
Again, increased by 25%, 97.5 + 24.375 = 121.875= 122 hence 22% increase.
