The average of $$T_{1}$$ and $$T_{2}$$ is 15. The average of $$T_{3}$$ and $$T_{4}$$ is 35. What is the average of $$T_{1}, T_{2}, T_{3}$$ and $$T_{4}$$?

Solution

The average of $$T_{1}$$ and $$T_{2}$$ is 15.

Sum of $$T_{1}$$ and $$T_{2}$$ = $$15\times2$$ = 30

The average of $$T_{3}$$ and $$T_{4}$$ is 35.

Sum of $$T_{3}$$ and $$T_{4}$$ = $$35\times2$$ = 70

Average of $$T_{1}, T_{2}, T_{3}$$ and $$T_{4}$$ = $$\frac{sum\ of\ data}{number\ of\ data}$$

= $$\frac{30+70}{4}$$

= $$\frac{100}{4}$$

= 25
