Question 57

The sum of the squares of the sides of a rhombus is 900 m$$^2$$. What is the side of the rhombus.

Solution

Let the side of the rhombus = a

Given, the sum of the squares of the sides of a rhombus is 900 m$$^2$$

$$\Rightarrow$$ a$$^2$$ + a$$^2$$ + a$$^2$$ + a$$^2$$ = 900

$$\Rightarrow$$  4a$$^2$$ = 900

$$\Rightarrow$$  a$$^2$$ = 225

$$\Rightarrow$$  a = 15 m

$$\therefore\ $$Side of the rhombus = a = 15 m

Hence, the correct answer is Option D
