1% = 3000
population of city R = 25% = $$25\times3000$$
= 75000
population of city R that is below 60 years =Â 75000 of (100-40)%
=Â 75000 of 60%
=Â $$75000\times\frac{60}{100}$$
= 45000
male population of city R that is below 60 years =Â $$45000\times\frac{12}{12+13}$$
= $$45000\times\frac{12}{25}$$
= $$1800\times 12$$
= 21600
