Question 56

A circle and a square have same area. The ratio of the side of the square to the radius of the circle will be:

Let side of square = $$s$$ and radius of circle = $$r$$

Also, area of square = area of circle

=> $$(s)^2=\pi r^2$$

=> $$\frac{s^2}{r^2}=\pi$$

=> $$\frac{s}{r}=\sqrt{\pi}$$

$$\therefore$$ Ratio of the side of the square to the radius of the circle = $$\sqrt{\pi}:1$$

=> Ans - (A)
