Subham purchased the grocery of ₹8000. He got 10% discount on it. After the discount, he paid tax at the rate of 7.5%. If the shopkeeper charged Rs. 200 for home delivery, then find out the amount paid by him to get the grocery at his home.
Marked price of Grocery = ₹8000
After giving 10 % discount, The price becomes :
$$=8000-\frac{10}{100}\times\ 8000$$
=₹7200
On this price subham has to pay 7.5 % tax and ₹ 200 delivery charges
i.e;$$\frac{7.5}{100}\times\ 7200=₹540$$
Amount paid by him at the time of delivery = ₹7200 + ₹540 + ₹200 = ₹7940
Hence, Option A is correct.
