A tank is in the form of a cuboid with length 12 m. If 18 kilolitre of water is removed from it, the water level goes down by 30cm. Whatis the width (in m) of the tank?
volume of water = 18 kiloliter = 18 cubic meter
Length of cuboid = 12m
Height = 30 cm = 0.3 m
Volume of water = $$length \times width \times height$$
18 = $$12 \times  0.3 \times width$$
Width = $$\frac{18}{3.6} = 5 m$$
