There was 29% off on bags. A lady bought a bag and got 12% discount for paying in cash. She paid ₹312.40. What is the price tag (in ₹) on the bag?

Let Marked price of the bag Rs. x

Initial off on the bags = 29%

Discount for paying in cash = 12%

therefore,

$$x\times\ \frac{71}{100}\times\ \frac{88}{100}=312.40$$

Solving for x we get , x = Rs 500

Hence , option C is correct
