5 bottles cost as much as 2 bags. The cost of 15 bottles and 4 bags is Rs 2,000. What is the price (in Rs.) of a single bag?
Solution
Let price of a single bag = Rs. $$x$$ and price of a bottle = Rs. $$y$$
5 bottles cost as much as 2 bags => $$5y=2x$$
Multiplying both sides by 3, we get : $$15y=6x$$ ------------(i)
According to ques, => $$4x+15y=2000$$
Substituting value from equation (i), => $$4x+6x=2000$$
=> $$x=\frac{2000}{10}=Rs.$$ $$200$$
=> Ans - (A)
