Ticket for an adult is Rs 1200 and a child is Rs 800 respectively. One child goes free with two adults. If a group has 25 adults and 5 children what is the discount the group gets?

Cost price of adult ticket = Rs. 1200 and child ticket = Rs. 800

For 25 adults and 5 children, total cost = $$(25 \times 1200) + (5 \times 800)$$

= Rs. (30,000 + 4,000) = Rs. 34,000

If one child goes free with two adults, => 5 children will go with 10 adults, thus all the children will go for free.

Cost of 25 adults = $$25 \times 1200 = Rs. 30,000$$

Discount % = $$\frac{34000 - 30000}{34000} \times 100$$

= 11.76 %
