If $$\frac{x^2 - 1}{n^2 - 1} + \frac{2n^2(1 - x)}{n^4 - 1} = \frac{2x - 1}{1 - n^4} - \frac{1 - x}{1 + n^2}$$, then $$x = $$ ______.
