Give answer d: if the data given in both the statements I and II together are not sufficient to answer the question.
Give answer e: if the data in both the statements I and II together are necessary to answer the question.

Solution

Clearly both statements alone are insufficient to answer the question, since only one condition is given in each statement. Thus, combining both statements, we get :

Common word in both statements is 'home'

Common code = '2'

Thus, by combining both statements together, we get the code for 'home' = 2
