Solution

Selling price (SP), Cost price (CP)

SP of 950 g = CP of 1000 g

$$ \frac{SP}{CP} = \frac{1000}{950} = \frac{20}{19} $$

gain % = $$ \frac{20 - 19}{19} \times 100 = \frac{100}{19} $$
