The average temperature for a week was $$30^\circ C$$. If the average temperature for first four days of the week was $$31^\circ C$$. then the average temperature for the remaining days of the week is:

Solution

Average Temperature of  week=$$\frac{M+T+W+Th+F+Sat+S}{7}$$                                                                                 $$Equation\ 1$$

Average Temperature of week=30^{\circ\ }$$ $$\left(Given\right)$$

$$\frac{M+T+W+Th}{4}=31^{\circ\ }\left(Given\right)$$

$$M+T+W+Th=31\times\ 4=\ 124$$            $$Equation\ 2$$

Let the average temperature for remaining  days=x

$$\frac{F+Sat+S}{3}$$=x                                                         $$Equation\ 3$$

By using equations 1, 2,3, we get,

x=28.5

Thus,

the avg temp for remaining days=$$28.5^{\circ\ }C$$
